Anthem - Ayn Rand

Ayn Rand's strong sense of objectivism and individualism on which she had worked all her life, mostly, though, the reader only finds satisfactory content against collectivism in Anthem. The concept of collectivism being dominating in the dystopia set-up Ayn Rand creates. The reader might find it interesting that the characters are called Equality, International, and so on. The characters Equality and his Golden one (Liberty) are likeable, probably to the teens, when it is considered that they are going against the flow of the wave. This rebellious act of belief that they are right against against the City, boils the reader's interest and gets in the story, more if the reader likes bollywood movies. The story is very short and well written, thought, the reader might not find it compelling compared to her other works, The story is actually a narration, by the main character, that is an appreciated effort, she made. The narrative by Equality (the mc), his quirks and his curiosity might reach out more to a teenage audience than adult.
