The Boy (2016) - Horror, Thriller

It's all an illusion, speaking about the tag, Horror, here.
The Boy is a 1h 37min long movie, oh, wait we are doing a review here,...
A girl is hired to babysit Brahms by his parents in a castle without any connections to the city.
(* This review contains spoilers, still knowing about it would be better than watching the movie *)
Trust me, the movie is a turn off. Let me spot the cliché . They do the shower scene, mirror scene and deliberately not following the rules scene. All this is actually not scary, at all. The biggest spoiler would be telling that there are no ghosts, nothing horrifying at all.
Movie starts, there's an intermission and here comes the climax, all this while it's fix there is something paranormal but the back story isn't clear at all. Suspense is out of the box and the audience knows, then, "Wtf? What's this?!"
Instead of watching The Boy, you realise you're here to watch The Hairy Man instead (at the end).
The scares are actually visions of the girl, who is insane. There is one jump-scare but it's with the doll and reminds of Annabel. Since Conjuring, horror flicks have been in trend, big time, so The Boy is going to earn well, still a thumbs down.
If you are going with your friends , you'll find it funny, the movie. But wait, isn't it horror?
